The Fender American Special HSS is a USA made humbucker-equipped Stratocaster unparalleled in value and quality. The bridge pickup is a Fender Atomic Humbucker, an overwound hot humbucker that has plenty of mid range heft, but also enough highs and lows to give your lead playing that extra push. This pickup configuration gives a diverse array of tones for players of any genre, allowing you to walk into any playing situation confident that you will cover all the bases. The Fender American Special HSS is further enhanced by the inclusion of the patented Fender Greasebucket tone circuit, which rolls of the highs without adding bass, which essentially retains the clarity of the guitar signal without muffling the tone. Add to this a vintage-styled tremolo bridge, and a narrower string spacing for further ease of playing, and the Fender American Special is truly an amazing value for under $800.
